Volunteer

We will be adding volunteer positions as the projects demand. Depending on the amount funding we receive through grants, fundraising and advertising, we would like to employ as many Belizeans in full time positions as possible at Cota Club. If we are short on funds for a given project we would need to fill these positions with volunteers. If you would like to learn more about being a volunteer or may have equipment or other goods to donate please contact us. We would be happy to hear from you!

PROJECT LEADERS:
We need core people to help with the implementation of each project. You should have skills and real life experience with the selected project. Visit our current projects page to see what we are working on. Project Leaders will be provided free housing at the COTA Research Center while working on their assigned projects.  Our hope is to be able to create a few labor jobs within the Stann Creek District to help stimulate the local economy.

US TEACHERS:
We need US Teachers to partner with local Belizean Teachers to help implement the globe environmental data project.

MEDICAL / DENTAL PROFESSIONALS:
We are looking to start a grass roots organization of doctors and medical professionals that are willing to go on working holidays in order to help the local Belizean people.

PERMICULTURE EXPERT:
We are looking for an individual that can set up and maintain the horticulture needs of the members currently residing at the COTA Club Research Center. This person would be responsible for the planning, planting and producing the food in a sustainable manner. This person will be provided with free housing at the COTA Club Research Center.

BIO-FUELS EXPERT:
We are looking for an individual that can set up and maintain a small bio-diesel refinery. This person would be responsible for producing B100 for the vehicles of the COTA Club. We are looking for a person who also possesses teaching skills and is willing to teach the local Belizeans about bio-fuels in a sustainable community. This person will be provided with free housing at the COTA Club Research Center.

SOLAR EXPERT:
We are looking for a person that can install both a solar water system and a photovoltaic array for electricity at the COTA Research Center. We need a person that is experienced in setting up the complete inverter system and battery shed from scratch. This person will be provided free housing at the COTA Research Center during the implementation of this project.

TRANSPORTATION:
Basically we are looking for any way possible to get donated goods to Belize. So if you have a car, truck, plane or cargo container and are headed that way -- Please help!
